Motorhome Rentals in 2009

Oh boy, it looks like we took a big brake last year, or have we been too busy to update the blog?

We are preparing for another busy summer. Please visit our updated website at www.happyholidaysmotorhome.com and see our selection on motorhomes and pick up campers.

Luckily the gas prices here in BC have been reduced by almost a third during the last few months which is good news for all travelers of course. And......another great news! We did not increase our rental rates for 2 years. So go ahead, dream, make some travel plans, come and visit us in Beautiful British Columbia.

Hallo Birgit,
wir hatten noch schöne erlebnisreiche, sonnige Tage .
Mit dem Fahrrad haben wir noch einen ganzen Tag das wunderschöne Vancouver umrundet.
In dem Apartment haben wir uns super wohl gefühlt. Wir haben in unserem Bekanntenkreis kräftig Werbung dafür gemacht. Eine bessere Lage um Ausflüge zu starten, kann man fast nicht finden.
Das Feuerwerk war ein toller Abschluss unserer Reise, wo alles prima geklappt hat.

The Sunshine Coast

Happy Holidays Motorhome Rentals is located in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast.
Not Vancouver you are asking? We are not far away.

The road to the Sunshine Coast (a scenic 30 minute drive away from Vancouver city centre to Horseshoe Bay to Langdale/Gibsons plus a 40 minute ferry ride) is already the beginning of a great holiday and a great ride through paradise.

The Sunshine Coast is home of the coasters, people enjoying a relaxed coastal lifestyle, a great meeting place and home of international artists, great places for diving, boating, fishing, hiking, golfing, camping (!!). You will find beaches, some are even sandy, forests, always have mountain view, you can watch the big cruise ships coming by on their way to Alaska. If you are lucky you will see a whale or a dolphin.

Driving up to Sechelt lets you explore our Native Museum and the home of the Salish First Nation. Sechelt means “Land between two waters”. On the one side the Pacific Ocean with the Trail Bay Islands and on the other side the Sechelt Inlet with a Float Plane “Airport”, Provincial Parks, more beaches, mountains….you have to see it!

P.S. When you rent a Motorhome from us, our taxi will pick you up at the airport, bring you to Horseshoe Bay and we meet you at the ferry terminal in Langdale. After the rental we will bring you back to the airport or to Vancouver.
Taxi and Ferry ride is included in the rental price.

Invitation to a FREE Ferry Ride

This question came in today from Ireland:
"You mention a ferry crossing to your pick up point how long does this take and how convenient is your base to the ferries to Vancouver Island.?"

Here is my answer:
"The taxi frive from the Airport to the ferry terminal is about 45-60 minutes, depending on the traffic. The ferry trip is 40 minutes, we are very close to the ferry here on the Sunshine Coast."

Transfers to and from our property are included in our prices. We will arrange for a taxi to meet you at the Vancouver airport or a Vancouver hotel, and bring you to the ferry terminal in Horseshoe Bay (just past West Vancouver). After a ferry ride, we will meet you and bring you to your motorhome. After you have returned the vehicle to us, we will arrange for a taxi to take you back to Vancouver.
